In case you missed it, Gear Scout recently got an exclusive first look at the Law Tactical Gen 3 AR Folding Stock Adapter (FSA), and it sounds like Law Tactical has made several improvements over Gen 2.
The biggest criticism I’ve heard about the Gen 2 adapter is that when folded, the rifle became inoperable. According to Gear Scout, this has been resolved with the Gen 3:
Biggest Change: Law Tactical addresses nearly all the criticisms of the Gen2 FSA with this Gen3 update. The big news; it can fire when folded. This doesn’t mean the gun can be operated normally with a folded stock. The manufacturer stills considers this abuse of the part, and perhaps of the rifle, but it means the Gen3 will allow the AR to continue to function if the rifle is fired with the stock folded.
Check out all the details here on Gear Scout. I think I want one.
I have two Gen 2’s and I love them, but I wish I would’ve waited for these Gen 3’s.
🙁
Any word on if the Gen 3’s are compatible with the Magpul UBR? I’ve spoken to a couple people with Gen 2’s who’ve had to alter the UBR slightly to allow the adapter to fold and maintain a locked position.
I’ll see if I can find out for you Luis.
Ok Luis, I asked Law Tactical, and here is their response:
You can see the necessary modification here.
Guess I’ll be aquiring a 2nd UBR to modify. Thanks for the effort Brandon. Greatly Appreciated!!
