Bravo Concealment Kydex Holster

As promised in my Kaluban Cloak Kydex holster review, the Kydex holster reviews continue. This time we take a look at one of most high value options available, Bravo Concealment.

Features

Bravo Concealment holsters have all of the features you would expect in an outside the waistband (OWB) custom Kydex holster.

Materials and Colors

Bravo uses .08″ Kydex as a standard, but allows you to choose .06″ Kydex in black and coyote if you prefer a thinner holster. In addition to black and coyote, Bravo offers desert tan and olive drab (OD), but only in .08″. My Smith & Wesson M&P holster is in .08″ black Kydex, and has a very substantial feel.

Cut

Bravo has a clean, standard cut to their holsters, and they allow you to choose a low, medium or high sweat guard, medium being standard. You can also choose between a 10 degree cant (standard) or a 0 degree cant. My M&P holster came with the standards – a 10 degree cant to aide in concealability, and has a medium sweat guard.

Bravo OWB holsters carry exactly how you would expect – very close to body, and very snug.

Retention

Bravo Concealment holsters come with a perfect amount of retention in my opinion (maybe just a bit on the stiff side when you first get it), and holstering finishes with that satisfying click that we all love.

Lead Times

Kydex shops are all pretty much weeks behind on orders, and Bravo is no different. But compared to most of the other shops I’m familiar with, Bravo’s lead times are some of the best. At the time of writing, lead times were set at 28-34 calendar days.

Quality and Value

Bravo Concealment quality is excellent and on par with other top quality Kydex shops. Edges are smooth, the hardware is good quality, and has great molding definition. The loops, which are a standard Kydex loop design and made from .125″ Kydex, are also good quality. Value, however, is what sets Bravo Concealment apart. At the time of writing, you could buy a Bravo Concealment holster for $59. That’s excellent value, and cheaper than just about every other Kydex shop.

Wrapping Up

Bravo Concealment holsters are high quality custom Kydex rigs that are made by hand to your specifications. Even better, they come without a ridiculous wait time, and at a fantastic price. Honestly, I don’t see how Bravo builds them by hand for such a low price. If you’re looking for a Kydex rig, Bravo Concealment is another great quality option for you to take a look at.

I love my Bravo holsters. Mine were a little tight at first, but they loosened up after a week or so. They’ve been rock solid through some pretty hard abuse. Great review, I agree 100%.

Could you post some photos of the holster in action? I’d like to see how/where it conforms to the body and how well the firearm is concealed.

    As always, thanks!

Absolutely – if you haven’t done so already, like us on Facebook and check out our photos. I will get some more of the holster in action posted. Thanks!

Great value until you get to the $18.95 for shipping. Then the value goes away and they are right in line with everyone else. Too bad, I almost placed an order. Thanks for the review. I will try one of the over companies.

Whoa! Shipping for me was like $10…you must live pretty far from their shop, or perhaps their ecommerce software is jacked up.

    Will the cz-75 holster fit a cz75 p-07 duty?

I doubt it Stephen, but check with Bravo to be sure.

I have their new D.O.S. holster on order for my glock 19, and I have a holster from them that is made for a shield (unfortunately I no longer own the shield but can’t find anyone to buy the holster haha), that being said out of the many holsters I have or have had the BC’s are the best I have come across and the customer service is awesome.

Thanks for the feedback Travis – great people, great gear. That about sums up Bravo.

what kind of damage does it do to the finish of the gun? i like these holsters, i am going to get one and the mag holder just waiting for my carry belt to get here so i can figure out what size of loops to get.

    • Brandon September 25, 2012 at 5:33 pm #

It does little, if any, damage to the finish of the gun. I pretty much exclusively use Kydex holsters.
