If you’re looking for maximum penetration, the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Penetrator might be the round for you. The Xtreme Penetrator features a solid copper bullet that is designed to be non-expanding and non-fragmenting.
Just as an FYI, do some research online as to how this round operates. It’s quite an improvement on an older not-as-effective concept. The hydraulic effect created by the design of the bullet easily makes up for its lack of expansion, making it an equal to a hollow point with a greater penetration and wound channel that stays fairly consistent throughout its path. I happen to carry them myself, in a .380, for this very reason. As for hanging up on the feed ramp, i use a Bersa Thunder 380 with no issues with feeding, and there are videos out there of just such testing.
The new Bigfoot round?
never seen himm lose his temper.
That just looks like it wants to get hung up on feed ramps…
“Non-expanding non-fragmenting,”
Wouldn’t you want your bullet to expand to create a better wound channel?
For self-defense, absolutely. But this bullet is designed for maximum penetration, which would be inhibited by both expansion and fragmentation.
