BLACK

A while back on Facebook, I told you about a Kickstarter project called BLACK the Web Series in which Monderno is a backer. If you don’t already know, BLACK is an online only series that was created, written and directed by Frank T. Ziede, an award winning Writer/Director based in Chicago (but he’s a Lakers fan…go figure).

BLACK Synopsis

From the BLACK Kickstarter page:

The series follows Agent Carnahan, a CIA Operative who began his career with the US Navy SEALs and later DEVGRU, otherwise known as the naval special warfare development group. The first six part story that opens the series is about the assassination of the director of the CIA by an unknown bomber, known only in the story as the UNSUB. After the attack, Carnahan is made the point man for the investigation and follows a lead to a small town on the edge of the Uzbekistan/Afghanistan border. The finale of the six-part series culminates in Chicago with another bombing attempt on the leaders of the United Nations. At the conclusion the decision is made to create a black ops team to work “outside the lines” and handle future threats.

I’m pretty excited to see what Frank and his team come up with. Like I mentioned earlier, it’s an online only web series, and each episode (six total) will be short, but with high production value. BLACK has also been cast with guys who actually know their way around weapons, which is always nice to see. The lead will be played by Mikal Vega, a former Navy SEAL, so there shouldn’t be any funny business like EOTech’s mounted backwards on M4’s (ahem, Dark Knight).

I’m looking forward to BLACK’s release this summer, and the word on the street is that there will be a Monderno patch floating around on one of the characters. Check out the official teaser below.
