California Gun Control Introduced

California state Democrats are going after guns again, and this time they want just about everything.

10 new bills have been introduced in California, a state that already has some of the toughest gun control laws in the country, that would ban almost every semiautomatic firearm, enact registration, and highly regulate ammunition sales.

What’s worse, is that the traitors who introduced and support these bills pretend to respect and support the Second Amendment. This is from California Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg:

We respect the Second Amendment right of law-abiding citizens to have guns for hunting, for sport, for protecting their homes and families. But loopholes in California’s tough gun laws have been exploited long enough.

We can save lives by curbing the proliferation of guns designed to be fired and reloaded rapidly. We can save lives by getting guns and ammunition out of the hands of the wrong people. We can save lives if every gun owner knows how to safely handle those guns. And if we can save lives, we must act to do so.

The various bills would ban possession of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds, ban semiautomatic firearms capable of accepting a detachable magazine, require a permit to buy ammunition, and the list goes on.

The Communists that run California are trying to outdo the Communists that run New York, which is really saying something. I am, quite frankly, completely disgusted, particularly given the current situation in the Los Angeles area where a crazed Obama supporter is on the loose killing police officers.

Are there enough good people in California to defeat these bills?

I think their personal security agents should not be armed either. Make them as defenseless as they want to make us.

Why do people still believe the 2nd Amendment is for “for hunting, for sport, for protecting their homes and families”?? Why can’t the same government that we expect to uphold the Bill of Rights understand the real reason behind having the 2nd Amendment? Why does anyone believe stripping law-abiding citizens of their arms, have any effect on the criminals that never obeyed the laws in the first place?

Pro-gun-control speakers continue to say, “Why does anyone NEED an ‘assault rifle’?” The answer is simple, why not? I never criticize the citizens who purchase 5 luxury cars and 3 summer homes; why they NEED those privileges. If you go bungee jumping, would you buy the cheapest gear that might keep you safe? or would you buy the best quality gear that will keep you safe? The same principle applies to rifles. Why wouldn’t I choose to purchase a firearm that is better than that of my attacker?

Ok a couple of things; you have part of the anti gun people that know better, in the sense that they know gun control doesn’t work and then you have the other ignorant people that don’t know any better and think irrationalally and emotionally. Also, pro gun people are NOT saying “why does any need an assault rifle” its the anti gun people saying that! but true, to answer that, its none of their concern because quite frankly its my right! It needs no questioning.

I said the Pro-Gun-Control speakers but either way I see you follow my rant.

I wonder if they ever thought of the fact that a lot of the firearm violence in Southern California, may me caused by firearms brought over illegally from Mexico?

pretty much everything the want to pass is beyond ridiculous! Californians should just move away from that communist state and move to RED states.

The sad thing is that most Californians probably don’t even agree with half of what is in these proposals. Those that would put shackles on our God-given and Constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms are hiding behind a fictional majority – while the polls show that most Americans are opposed to new gun control laws, our president and his cronies continue to insist on the opposite. Sadly, most Americans don’t realize that the rule of the majority is not how we function as a society. We are not a Democracy, we are a constitutional republic wherein representation in General Government is made through election of representatives to Congress. 51% of people can believe whatever they want, and certainly the opinion of the people should guide public policy, but the Founders knew that Democracy – which can degrade into mob rule – has the potential to become as tyrannical as a monarchy or other totalitarian regime.

Where in the bill do they talk about the citizens protecting themselves from police officers that go on shooting rampages?

States are starting to fall just like domino’s…Liberals (statists/communists) are making the 2nd amendment a shadow of itself and law abiding citizens are targeted as criminals just for having guns. Heck the mayor of Chicago is trying to restrict people from even having stock or investments in arms and ammo companies. There is a state (Minnisota I believe) trying to make it so any one in the chain of handling a weapon is liable for a crime commited…that is the manufactuer of the gun, the dealer of the gun, and the ammo company and they guy/girl who sold said gun to someone else along the line. Our country is sick and dieing. Sad……

With higher taxes, and the continued restrictions of the ability to protect yourself, why is there anyone left in CA?

I left 12 years ago and would never go back.

Ban weapons with detachable magazines? Isn’t that everything that is not a shotgun, single shot rifle, or revolver? I mean, almost every modern gun has a detachable magazine…I don’t think the donks even know what they are talking about.
