Jesse James Firearms Unlimited

Jesse James, the CEO of West Coast Choppers in Austin, TX, is getting into the gun building business.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Jesse James will introduce Jesse James Firearms Unlimited, his new firearm manufacturing company, at an exclusive Texas launch party in November.

The Jesse James Firearms Unlimited Official Launch Party will take place at the Rattle Inn in Austin on Saturday, November 16 at 6:30 p.m. At the event, James will unveil the first products from his new line of firearms to 200 high-profile guests, including John Paul DeJoria, Colion Noir, Texas legislators, and leaders from the NRA and Texas State Rifle Association.

Following in the footsteps of his worldwide success with West Coast Choppers, Jesse James Firearms Unlimited brings his renowned level of craftsmanship and detail to a new industry and product. “It’s taking the same theory behind my world-famous bikes and applying it to another passion of mine, which is guns,” he explains.

Jesse James Firearms Unlimited will debut with an initial offering of a 1911 pistol and an AR-15 rifle. The guns will be available for purchase as early as January 2014 online at www.jjfu.com. Ultimately, the brand will offer a full span of guns that appeal to military and law enforcement as well as to the individual gun enthusiast.

“Making Texas my home has inspired me to pursue my passion for products made in America and one-of-a-kind craftsmanship, and I am proud to apply both to Jesse James Firearms Unlimited,” says James.

Ahead of the launch event, James will be available for a select number of on-site media interviews at his shop. A limited number of media spots are available for the event; press photos and a post-event recap will also be provided.

So the guy who is best known for building custom motorcycles and his tabloid-headlining personal life over the years is now going to build AR-15’s and 1911’s. Ok, cool. I mean why not, everyone and their brother builds guns these days.

The real question I have is, why is the NRA involved?

Yeah I don’t think the NRA is involved as much as it is just PR for them? The NRA is turning more into a PR platform which is actually kind of ok but at the same time I don’t like them being the voice for all gun owners. I have mixed feelings but I do enjoy the commentators especialy Colion Noir and think that it does broaden the spectrum. Either way it will be interesting to see if Jesse James gets another TV show form this. I could see that happening. It’s all about the money baby. Eyeballs = advertising.

TV show? Maybe. Another porn star ex-wife? Most likely.

good question. I’d assume he’s talked with the NRA and they feel he’s not going to be a tool. The NRA is just going to a party, not getting into a marrage.

      We shall see.

Possibly a marriage with Discovery channel though!

The NRA better be really careful who they tie their horse to…

Seems fitting the NRA is mentioned and will have a presence at the grand opening event, as previously stated “their going to a party not getting married” which is quite fitting a statement. Jesse James for better or worse has a presence, he is easily recognized and is quite open about his opinions much akin to a much younger, more visable on larger scale cable channels the say Ted Nugent but with a far less politic bend, which may prove a positive for those that followed his actual career and not his bed hopping escapades

      They’re*

Please don’t compare Uncle Ted to Jesse Douchetastic James. Thank you.

wasn’t “comparing” was making a reference to another iconic firearm supporter with a large presence in media and I was originally typing that on my cell phone, excuse the lack of concern if someone wants to get the grammer nazi panties in a bunch as I was between incidents and read an interesting post and commented in a rush, the point was made and understood 😉

You’re making a lot of assumptions DB. We shall see.

So a felon can have a firearms company?

    • Jake October 31, 2013 at 9:42 am #

Curious, what felony was he convicted of? I googled but couldn’t find anything confirmed…

He was an American outlaw, gang leader, bank robber, train robber, and murderer. Just kidding, that was the real Jesse James.

Always glad to see another firearms startup come on board, but for some reason this one leaves me with an uneasy feeling. Right now, appearance is everything in this business and I’m scared his past could reflect on the whole industry. Give the folks in DC another tongue wagging point. “Now even the bad boys are manufacturing guns.” This is his persona by choice.

I think Jesse may have a lot of personal drama but he knows how to handle metal. I don’t think his weapons will be anything groundbreaking by any means. I do think they will probably be overpriced but well made. Partnering up with the NRA gives him some “credibility” and them some marketing power into new member bases. He would be a strong competitor on the television with Red Jacket. If it went to TV though I wouldn’t see the show lasting beyond 2 or 3 years before he burned a bridge with the NRA over “image” or some tom foolery like that. Still his business could have longevity and I really think his work could be good just back ordered as hell and overpriced.

    Just my 2 cents.

Someone should build him a Next Generation Shooting Range!

Just what the NRA needs, to be associated with another dumbass.

My favorite part, that Colion Noir is not only going, but is listed as a high profile guest. Thats that shit I DO like. Good for him, he is a great voice for our community and the fact that he is getting so much recognition and is now considered “high profile” is awesome.

I wonder what Jesse James will charge me to “Monster Garage” a 1911?

  13. Jeremy November 1, 2013 at 11:06 pm #

Regardless of how this venture into the gun industry goes, I will always view JJ as a dumbass for screwing things up with Sandra Bullock.

As far as the NRA “involvement” – I would much rather see them spend their PR dollars and help out companies like 2VetArms, TCG, Larue, (just to name a few) which could result in lower prices and more availability.

Would be interesting to see who comes up with the first morale patch poking fun of Jesse James though. 😉

We gun owners need all the allies we can get. Guns are for “bad boys.” I even want my police to be “bad boys,” not sissies. So welcome aboard Jessy James. Jump on in the water is fine.

FTG! I’d never buy a damned thing from a POS like Jesse James. Sadly, many idiots will give him their hard-earned money…

      Why is his workmanship bad?
