Missouri Democrats Move to Confiscate Firearms

If the Democrats in Missouri get their way, you’ll have 90 days to turn in your weapons.

House Bill 545 was introduced by Representative Mary Nichols, and is co-sponsored by Representatives Jill Schupp, Margo McNeil and Rochelle Walton Gray. Among other things, HB 545 states the following:

4. Any person who, prior to the effective date of this law, was legally in possession of an assault weapon or large capacity magazine shall have ninety days from such effective date to do any of the following without being subject to prosecution:

(1) Remove the assault weapon or large capacity magazine from the state of Missouri;

(2) Render the assault weapon permanently inoperable; or

(3) Surrender the assault weapon or large capacity magazine to the appropriate law enforcement agency for destruction, subject to specific agency regulations.

5. Unlawful manufacture, import, possession, purchase, sale, or transfer of an assault weapon or a large capacity magazine is a class C felony.

You can read the rest here.

My understanding (I don’t live in Missouri) is that this bill has little chance of passing. Having said that, how these traitors who introduced this bill were elected in the first place is beyond me. To those of you who live in Missouri and voted for these clowns – should be ashamed of yourselves.

This is just adding to the mass hysteria everywhere. This is why I can’t find a PPQ anywhere. No one is taking our guns away.

    • Brandon February 15, 2013 at 7:20 pm #

Oh yes, clearly it’s MY fault that people are buying guns at a record pace. It couldn’t have anything to do with the jackasses in Missouri actually saying IN A BILL that they want to confiscate guns…no…certainly not.

Or the jackasses in Minnesota saying the same thing.

Or the jackasses in New York, California, New Jersey, Illinois, Colorado, etc, who have either passed or are close to passing gun control laws.

Or the jackasses in Congress trying to do the exact same thing.

      You’re right, it’s mass hysteria.

      • J.Ireland February 15, 2013 at 7:31 pm #

Who in the hell said it was your fault. However you’re not helping. I have no problem with people buying firearms. Hell, I carry and conceal myself. I just want to know when the hell did Obama or anyone else say they were coming to our homes and taking away our guns? I can’t find not a damn firearm or ammunition. This is crazy the way people are freaking out. I can see if the federal government said they were taking away our guns;however, they didn’t

        • Brandon February 15, 2013 at 7:40 pm #

I couldn’t care less if you think I’m helping or not.

At the Federal level, Obama, Feinstein and company have introduced legislation that will make that PPQ you want buy illegal because it’s capable of accepting a detachable magazine. If that’s not “taking away guns”, then what the hell is it?

Just end it right there Brandon, not worth it, this guy is just a little cornfused 🙂

    • TK February 15, 2013 at 7:22 pm #

Hahaha, you must be a liberal to be that stupid.

    • amistoso February 15, 2013 at 8:23 pm #

I really dont see how Mr. ColionNoir is “adding to the mass hysteria” he’s simply stating facts. If anything, this is a great thing to be posting, so that “half asleep semi pro gun owners” can wake up and smell the coffee and realize how crazy some of the bills these DEMS want to pass!

      • J.Ireland February 15, 2013 at 9:07 pm #

I really hope you guys aren’t deleting posts. Because I have nothing but respect for Mr. ColionNoir . Again I agree with everything he said about not giving mass shooters press. I agree with everything he says about my so-called black leaders like Messy Jackson and Al charlatan being anti-gun. However, I ‘m not going to agree with everything the pro-gun crowd says. It’s just as bad as stupid dems when they say,” OMG, carry and conceal is going to turn this country into the Wild West!”.

        • Brandon February 15, 2013 at 9:11 pm #

I don’t know what Colion has to do with anything, I must have missed that part.

You must have missed the post by amistoso.

J.Ireland, are you ready to come out of your bubble yet?

    • J.Ireland February 15, 2013 at 7:39 pm #

Are you ready to come out of yours? I quote,”My understanding (I don’t live in Missouri) is that this bill has little chance of passing.” Again, I carry and conceal. I’m all for the second amendment. It’s just crazy that I can’t find a firearm or any ammunition to save my life . All of this, “I’m going to hide in my underground bunker, and take out the Feds! Because they’re a coming for all my gunzzzz!”, nonsense is crazy.

      • Brandon February 15, 2013 at 7:41 pm #

Who said anything about hiding in a bunker or taking anyone out?

      • Camo February 15, 2013 at 10:02 pm #

J you must realize that disarming America is a step by step process. The goal is to come and confiscate all guns. Don’t be so hard headed.

  3. Loren February 15, 2013 at 7:45 pm #

It’s a race to see who can leave the biggest turn on the 2nd amendment.

      exactly!

  4. Jake February 15, 2013 at 7:46 pm #

Are there really people so dumb or so naive that they can’t see what’s going on? Can you not look at what bills have ALREADY passed in various states, what bills are introduced in various states, and what is being debated right now in Congress? Can you not see the disarmament agenda of the Democrat party?

Look I don’t like the Republicans either, but let’s be honest: it’s the DEMOCRATS that are trying to take away our guns. They have already succeeded in many states. Hell you can’t even have more then SEVEN DAMN ROUNDS now in New York!!

No one’s coming for our guns? Are you f’ing kidding? J. Ireland wake up you damn fool!

    • amistoso February 15, 2013 at 8:18 pm #

They are coming for them…. whether or not they get those crazy bills passed is a different baby. Any DEM State can pass and has passed crazy anti-gun laws like MO, but that doesn’t mean certain one wont pass. But They really are “Coming for our guns” That is simple fact!

  5. amistoso February 15, 2013 at 7:52 pm #

It seems like each state after the other wants to “One up” one another. Wouldn’t it be crazy if the next States’ bill will be if you’re wearing anything “tactical” your in violation and are now a criminal and will be shot or imprisoned for the felony. At the rate this anti-gun legislation is going, i would not doubt it

  6. Jeremy Hayes February 15, 2013 at 8:13 pm #

I wonder how long it well be before someone in those states snap and fires the first shot. I think it is getting out of hand, these proposals are crazy.

    • amistoso February 15, 2013 at 8:15 pm #

      Indeed!

  7. elimn8u February 15, 2013 at 8:52 pm #

The very fact that there are a**holes in positions of power that would even attempt to file these Bills is a danger to our Rights…that mindset IS out there and we need to expose it and fight it for what it is…a direct assault on our Freedom and Liberty!
They will file these ‘extreme bills’ knowing they can’t pass, and then when something lesser passes everyone relaxes for a bit, then the next ’emergency’ occurs and then the whole process starts over and we lose a little more and then a little more until the day when we look around and ask “How the hell did it come to this” and it’s too freakin’ late!!!
That’s why it’s important to stop this shit here and now!!!!!!!

  8. Frank Sharpe February 15, 2013 at 10:13 pm #

Why does the buying of guns and ammo in the present climate have to be about panic? Is it just a little bit possible that some of us are making a political statement.

Think about how much press the record insta-checks have had in the past month. You don’t think politicians are well aware we are arming ourselves to the teeth in reply to there desire to ban, and do you not see how that is sending a message to them?

It’s telling them flat out that Americans want guns, and if they make laws against them they will start losing elections.

    Keep buying!

  9. Brian February 15, 2013 at 10:49 pm #

I just looked up all four of those douche bags they are from and represent the St Louis area. And they are all 4 democrat females. No disrespect to females just stating facts.

  10. Brian February 15, 2013 at 10:51 pm #

It will never pass in Missouri but its the thought of them trying that’s scary! They also proposed legislation to require parents to notify there child’s school if there were guns in the household.

  11. walter February 16, 2013 at 1:07 am #

They are whitiling away at our rights. A little here and a little thereand the next thing you know they have taken all your rights away.
There is even a push from some areas to abolish the constitution, saying that it is old and obsolete.
Our nation is going to hell and it’s on the fast track people.

I hope we can get some of the manufacturers to bring their jobs to our state. I hope the West Virginia Firearms Freedom Act passes: http://www.legis.state.wv.us/bill_status/bills_text.cfm?billdoc=sb68+intr.htm&yr=2013&sesstype=RS&i=68

  13. shawn February 16, 2013 at 6:57 am #

I just read that entire west virginia firearms freedoms act, and it all sounds great. Im from clarksburg wv and let’s hope that this passes. I am doing my part in my town, let’s just hope everyone else in their wv towns are doing there’s. I definitely would vote yes on this one. As for this $#!+isn’t going down in Missouri I hope these Dams wake up and realize what the hell they ate that made them trip hard enough to even present something as arbitrary as a gun confiscation. NUCKIN FUTS !

  14. shawn February 16, 2013 at 7:03 am #

Oh and I don’t know if anyone else got this in there Gun Owners of America email, but west virginia senator Joe Manchin lied and said he was workings on a bill with the NRA that would prohibit all veterans from owning firearms, and the NRA doesn’t even have anything to do with it. At the same time this new wv firearm freedoms act would pretty much contradict from what I read and understood.
