This fight is far from over.
President Obama will be at the Minneapolis Police Department’s Special Operations Center today to discuss his “his comprehensive set of common sense ideas to reduce gun violence.” He will be pushing his gun control plan which includes universal background checks for all gun sales, a renewal of the assault weapons ban, and restrictions on the capacity of ammunition magazines.

What This Means
This marks the first time that the President has campaigned for gun control outside of Washington, which tells me that the anti-gun politicians are pulling out all the stops. The President leaving Washington to campaign for gun means one thing at minimum: they think gun control legislation can pass.
I see this move by the President as an escalation of sorts, and I think it has been carefully planned. My guess is that we can expect to see the same sort of escalation coming from the mainstream media, talking heads and pop culture outlets. Expect to hear lots of “common sense” talk that “most gun owners support”.
Make no mistake, this fight is NOT over. Contact your Senators, Representative and the President today. Let them know, respectfully, that we will NOT stand for more gun control, in ANY form.

The only common sense gun control is to leave law-abiding gun owners, and their STANDARD-CAPACITY MAGAZINES and SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLES, alone.
I agree,there is no law that ever passed would have prevented what has happen the last two months !!
Or he could, you know, get back to Washington and do something productive. Or nothing at all, I’d be fine with that too.
