You might have heard that the Second Amendment is under attack in the state of Colorado, where Democrats have introduced several new gun control bills. What you may not have heard, is the comments made by Colorado Representative Joe Salazar on women, guns and rape.
While debating the need for guns on College campuses, Rep. Salazar stuck his entire foot in his mouth, all the way up to the kneecap, and then kept pushing. He does not think that guns on campus are a good idea, nor does he think that women should use guns to fend off a rapist. He had the following to say:
It’s why we have call boxes, it’s why we have safe zones, it’s why we have the [rape] whistles. Because you just don’t know who you’re gonna be shooting at…
And you don’t know if you feel like you’re gonna be raped, or if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel like you’re in trouble when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop — pop a round at somebody.
Now I’m by no means an expert on the topic, so take this for what it’s worth, but I think just the opposite of Rep. Salazar. I think call boxes, safe zones, and rape whistles are a joke. Maybe those things are effective and I’m just totally ignorant here, but here’s what I think would be more effective: a woman legally carrying a concealed weapon that she is trained to use, loaded with 147 grains of rape whistle.

When my daughter is old enough, that’s what I’m going to recommend to her. Unless of course blasters have been invented by then.

Of course, if Rep. Salazar was a Republican, there would be outrage in the mainstream media, and women’s rights groups would be calling for him to step down. Anyone think that will happen this time around?

Go ahead and turn off your Capitol Police detail and, instead, start carrying a rape whistle. Be sure to only walk in safe areas that have call boxes, and go ahead and practice using one while being forcibly assaulted and raped. You obviously would rather that your constituents become victims of heinous and traumatizing crimes, if they even survive it, than have the Constitutional right to keep and bear arms and defend themselves. Please resign now, and spare us the work involved in recalling you. You are a worm and a disgrace to the oath that you took to the Constitution. if anyone reading this wants to be properly trained in the use of firearms to protect yourself, go the NRA website and you’ll be able to find a fully trained and qualified person who can do it in your area. If you don’t want to carry a gun, go to a good and reputable MMA gym and learn to fight. Sexual predators are sick evil criminals and absolutely hate hard targets.
This explains why Colorado is banning standard capacity magazines…dipshits like Salazar. He makes Republicans look smart by comparison.
