Tactical Firearms Claims Misrepresentation

Piers Morgan recently came to Tactical Firearms in the Houston metro area for a show on guns and gun control. One of his guests, Jeremy Alcede, who is the owner of Tactical Firearms, isn’t too happy with the way the show turned out.

If you will recall, Mr. Alcede’s comments during the show were a bit off to say the least. Well News Fix is now reporting on Mr. Alcede’s claim that CNN edited the video in such a way that misrepresented him and the points he was trying to get across.

The points that I did make were just garbled to the point that people were asking  why was I speaking in broken sentences, and I said, look back at the video and you’ll see, in one instance I’m wearing glasses, one I’m not.  One hearing protection, one not.  They just chopped it up so bad it wasn’t even funny.

You can read more here.

If you haven’t already seen Mr. Alcede’s part of the Piers Morgan show, here’s the original video from CNN.

Mr. Alcede also went on the Alex Jones show yesterday where he gave more detail about CNN’s alleged misrepresentation, starting at around the 12:00 mark.

So there you go. Since I gave Mr. Alcede a hard time for some of his comments on the Piers Morgan show, I thought it was important to also cover his side of the story, and let you guys be the judge.

They didn’t EDIT the idea that you “can’t miss” with a shotgun.

They didn’t edit the idea that 40-50% of US MIlitary would attack US Citizens.

Piers is Big League…. unfortunately, he likes to play against our side’s JV Team.

What did he expect, they were going to give him the script to the show? He’s still a tool and should stay away from all radio and tv stations. Add the internet to that as well.

I would like note, Piers has a dropped elbow while shooting the AR. He claims to have little to no experience with firearms yet his elbow is dropped. Most inexperienced shooters will leave their elbow floating creating a ‘chicken wing’ effect. With EMP (Enhanced Marksmanship Program, while I was in the Corps) we were taught to drop that elbow and keep yourself a smaller target while engaging the enemy. You don’t want your elbow shot out so that you can’t stay in the fight, do you? Every single last inexperienced shooter I have witnessed to date, ‘chicken wings’ their elbow.

Okay this is obvious that he hooked this guy with baited questions, as far as having shot before he does seem quite comfortable with the weapon system.

Some people should keep their mouths shut and stay the hell off T.V. they aren’t doing us any favors as you are not going to convince this ass clown he is making too money being anti-gun.

Letting him fire a .50 cal HMG was just plain stupid, what people are getting from this now is that every gun owner has a heavy in the closet, anti guners pick and choose what they want to believe.

Every time someone put a weapon in his hands or lets him put them on air, they screw the rest of us.

Mr. Alcede Is the JV team, his claims that he didn’t know what was going to happen, and letting himself be led by the hand down the road are not believable. How could someone like this, ever get to this point in his life, with such an ignorant understanding of how media works.

I think as soon as he got email calling him out on this, he decided to do some damage control. Alex Jones also should be called out for softballing the interview. It sounded more like an add for the gun store, and their future plans to expand.

I wonder if we will ever see the footage claimed to show CNN “plotting”.

No matter what CNN did or didn’t do – no matter what Morgan did or didn’t edit – It is still Mr. Alcede’s fault for allowing them in his store, and believing they would give him any kind of fair shake.

I suggest that from this day forward all “pro gun” people ignore Morgan and his show. Grant no interviews to him ever again.

    You are 100% correct Frank

First rule of TV … bring your own video camera. Then when they post their edited stuff, you can post yours. It was naive of this tool to invite Morgan, although the desire to be a fame whore is difficult to resist. It was just plain stupid to allow himself to be used without his own recording of the events.

He claims to have his own recordings…should be interesting.
