Don’t mess with Texas.
In response to the anti-Second Amendment proposals being debated in Washington, Texas State Representative Steve Toth has begun the process to file legislation that would make any federal law banning semiautomatic firearms or limiting magazine capacity unenforceable within the state’s boundaries.
Mr. Toth represents the Woodlands, which is a planned community that is part of the Houston metro area. He had the following to say on his proposed legislation:
We can no longer depend on the Federal Government and this Administration to uphold a Constitution that they no longer believe in. The liberties of the People of Texas and the sovereignty of our State are too important to just let the Federal Government take them away. The overreach of the federal administrations executive orders that are do not align with the Constitution, are not very popular here in Texas.
Well done Mr. Toth. You can read more here.
A few words of wisdom: if you’re anti-gun, don’t come to Texas, you won’t like it here and you won’t fit in. If you live here, and you’re somehow anti-gun, you might want to consider moving, or at the very least keeping your opinions to yourself.
And above all, if you want to take away our guns, then may God have mercy on you, because we won’t.
God Bless Texas!
