Federal Judge Rules DC Ban on Handguns Unconstitutional

Good news folks – today a federal judge overturned Washington D.C.’s ban on carrying handguns outside the home, ruling that the ban is unconstitutional.

“There is no longer any basis on which this Court can conclude that the District of Columbia’s total ban on the public carrying of ready-to-use handguns outside the home is constitutional under any level of scrutiny,” Judge Frederick Scullin said in an opinion.

“Therefore, the Court finds that the District of Columbia’s complete ban on the carrying of handguns in public is unconstitutional.”

im so glad I live in a very pro 2nd amendment state but this is a big win and hopefully more states with lame restrictions will follow suit…

I wonder if the democraps will let it go to a higher court; if they do, and lose, we could see a lot of states forced to allow carrying that’s currently not allowed.

Great news for the 2nd Amendment
