Glock dropped a YouTube video today discussing the new Glock 42. Honestly for a company the size of Glock, this video is kind of embarrassing, but does provide some more information about the new pocket pistol.
Why not just shoot the vid in his bedroom and lay the gun down on a piece of cordura multicam. Seriously Glock can you use a microphone? Now, on to the gun. Yes I want to shoot it.
Did you notice that he said the “‘duty loads’ that you guys all use.” I don’t know of any law enforcement that use .380 auto as duty guns. Also, he compared it to the Gluck 26. Could there be a 9mm also?
Hi friends, im from Brazil, here we have only two options for glock, G25 and G28 (.380 acp). to self defense, We cant use high calibers like 9mm (only military), .40(only police), .45, .44, .357 ( same cases the polices) …but the people, just .22, .32auto, .25 .38 and .380 pistol. Unique mode to adquired this “high” calibers and others “very high” like .223, .308 is to make register in military departament to be considerate like shooter. Our legislation dont permit acquisition of weapons with more than 330 ft-lbs (energy)… Baceuse of this many shooters train double tap and mozambique drills, WE CANT MISS the target… Ok, back to glock, the model G28 is igual to G26 model but in .380acp caliber, here in Brazil many peoples looking for this model to concealed carry. the vantage is 10+1 round in the mag. but 6 rounds to .380 is to little for this caliber, if i can have more power in .38 spl +P+ with 6 rounds. i dont know… nice weapon, but very little capacity.

Hi friends, im here again. I use to self defense PT 59 by Taurus (like a beretta 92fs) 20+1 mag in .380 acp. +P JHP, 95 grains (by CBC), and for backup RT mod 85 Taurus .38 spl 2″ snub, 5rounds +P+ JHP.
Here we dont have more options to powerful calibers, and in this case i like have a 21 rounds in the mag. i hope never need to use, but if necessary, im very prepeird .

very hard to get a concealed carry here in Brazil (we call carry (“porte” in portuguese)), 1º u need a satisfy mandatory requirements, 25 years old, courses, tests and psycologic test .2º you need justify this solicitation ( and this is completly subjective and in this point many are negated), even though you are a shooter, and have many guns like a arsenal in your house, the State dosen´t permit your concealed carry.(even to defend those weapons when you r going to gun club. For your solicitation have sucsess with this, you need to show that you have been assaulted, suffered violence, carries values ​​or is being threatened and finaly prove this.
thats is the law here.
and dont forget, here the civilian only can use .380 or .38 spl like a maximum caliber.

I hope there’s a 9mm version but I’m not holding my breath.
I have heard of some detectives that use it as a back up.
My old department issued duty ammo for back up guns. I guess that may be what he meant.
Craptastic video from the company but at least it put an end to the rumors that it is or isn’t coming out.
I think Remington beat them this year with the R51. That thing just pushed all other single stack compact 9s down the list for me.
I truly want the 9MM singke stack.. but This will be a great replacement for my Keltec .380

I don’t think they have “concealed carry permits” in Brazil. As for closer to home. Califronia has banned all Glocks. Nice huh.
