President Obama’s National Call for Action

President Obama hosted an event at the White House today urging Congress to take action to reduce gun violence – by once again standing on the graves of dead children. Gun control advocacy groups were calling this a “National Call for Action” day, which the media has been quick to cover.

Framed by Mothers Against Violence, and full of emotional rhetoric like “we are not going to wait for the next beautiful child to be gunned down before we are willing to act,” and “shame on us if we’ve forgotten about Newtown. I haven’t forgotten those kids,” President Obama made his case.

He spoke once again about “common sense” measures that Congress should take to prevent gun violence by continuing to push for “universal” background checks and registration, which is stage 1 of their plan.

None of these ideas should be controversial. Why wouldn’t we want to make it more difficult for a dangerous person to get his or her hand on a gun? Why wouldn’t we want to close the loophole that allows as many as 40% of all gun purchases to take place without a background check. Why wouldn’t we do that?

90% of Americans support background checks…

Watch here the propaganda and false statistics here, and then contact your Senators and Representative.

Probably the same 90% that gave him 100%+ of the votes in the election. “Digital Voters/Americans”, otherwise known as, fictional.

I’d like to see a comparison of those (US citizens or not) killed by the policies and actions of the US Government as compared to the number killed by US individuals on US soil. I suspect that the former would be ahead 20:1 or greater. Seems to me that its more control over government that is needed, not more control over the law abiding individuals.
