Smith & Wesson Shield Clue #2

Update 4/12/2012: The Smith & Wesson Shield has arrived!

Today at 12:00 noon EST, Smith & Wesson released the second puzzle piece clue to their new pistol on their Facebook page. If you missed it, here you go!

Definitely not as telling as puzzle piece #1…looks like part of the grip to me. Puzzle piece #3 here.

Yep, matches my M&P grip. The line on the rear looks to me to still have the interchangeable grip.

Bummer that it looks like different pictures being sliced up instead of a single pic we can assemble by the end of it.

Still in my ‘maybe want’ category. I don’t get why someone can’t build a high quality 10-12 rd. compact the size of a P11, or a 10rd. .45 the size of a Taurus PT145…they manage one of those and I’d be all over it!

Here are both stitched together. I think it will be a single stack .45 to compete with XDS.

The exciting thing for Smith and Wesson is that it’s already in production and will be shipping the week they announce it April 12 at NRA. With the order freeze at Ruger due to heavy demand from public for firearms, Smith and Wesson is going to sell every unit they can produce, no matter what this new concealed carry pistol is.

Exciting times for shareholders of SWHC.
