Super Bowl Ad for Gun Control

Boston Mayor Tom Menino and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg don’t agree on football, but they do agree on other things. Other things like gun control. They agree that more gun control is needed. They agree to ignore the extensive evidence that more guns equals less crime. They agree to ignore that gun control does not work, and has never worked. They agree on disarming law abiding citizens (just ask Ryan Jerome).

To promote their common goal of more gun control, they will be starring in a Super Bowl Ad promoting Mayors Against Illegal Guns, an organization of city mayors promoting tougher federal, state, and local gun regulation.

So far I have been unable to determine who paid the more than $5 million bill for the 30 second ad, but I suspect it was Bloomberg. With a net worth of $19.5 billion, it certainly wouldn’t be a stretch. If anyone knows, let me know in the comments below.

Here is an interesting fact pointed out on this Guns.com article about the “distinguished” members of Mayors Against Illegal Guns:

[blockquote cite=”Glenn Reynolds, Law Professor, University of Tennessee College of Law”]A recent study found that mayors belonging to Bloomberg’s group have been arrested at a much higher rate than Tennessee handgun-carry permit holders, for crimes ranging from perjury and embezzlement to child sexual assault. But there’s no background check for politicians.[/blockquote]

Needless to say I find this despicable. Video below.
