Seems a bit gimmicky to me, but I suppose we should wait and see, right? You can check the Curve out in more detail at the Taurus website.

At 10.2 ounces and probably a 190 Lb trigger pull this this would have to be difficult to shoot and with the laser on it would have to look like a Pink Floyd light show, back and forth up and down in a rapid motion.
    Disclaimer: It’s a joke

It may be a bit gimmicky and I don’t care for the aesthetics, but I credit them for rethinking the form factor of an object so many people do carry on their person. Maybe this will give some of the more reputable makers some motivation. I’m an Industrial Designer and we are long overdue for real, dedicated purpose hand gun designs. While many handguns can handle a fair amount of trickin’ out I’d love to see something with integrated white light, I’m gonna put one on anyway, or a handgun with integral red dot system. Maybe the market just isn’t there, but I can drive a truck, or sedan, or convertible, or even a hybrid depending on what I need or what from my car. From an industry that talks about the right tools and training so much, it’s funny to this designer how unchanged some of our equipment is.

It looks as if you can only use one finger in the grip and I’m not too sure about placing the light/laser activation switch right in front of the trigger like that. If one gets spooked and jump, natural response sends round down range without need. I think the concept is something new but the design is just not working for me.

Taurus once again tries something New and innovative. I have to give them credit on their ability to give new ideals a chance and see if its a hit. That is how the Judge came to be and that was a hit for Taurus. Trying out new ideals will keep a gun maker in business for years to come and not end up in financial trouble as Colt is for putting out the some old guns and not even trying to be a industry leader.
