GORUCK Tac Hat Giveaway

I wasn’t planning on giving away this GORUCK Tac Hat for a while (pictured above, photo by GORUCK), but I think we all could use a short distraction from the recent horrible events in Connecticut, and the predictable response from our elected officials. Besides, who doesn’t like free stuff?

GORUCK Tac Hat

The GORUCK Tac Hat is really nice cap, similar in design to the Haley Strategic Troubleshooter Cap we recently reviewed, though the Tac Hat design precedes that of the Troubleshooter cap. The Tac Hat is also a more rugged design using 1000D Cordura, and is made here in the USA.

GORUCK Description

GORUCK has pared down the military tactical hat to its essentials while keeping the low profile tactical hat fit. The primary material is the same military-grade nylon — 1000D Cordura — found in our rucks, which provides significantly more abrasion protection than cotton.

    The button on top was only ever good for whacking each other in the heads with when we were kids. I’m glad it’s gone from this Tac Hat. It did make wearing muff-type hearing protectors a bit of a pain.

    I have a shaved head, so anything that will keep the cold or sun off my head, and still vent it is great. Besides, this hat would look great with my other gear when I go to classes.
