Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott has a message for New York gun owners: Come to Texas, and bring your guns with you.
By now you’ve no doubt heard about the nonsensical gun control legislation that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo signed into law last week. Not only did New York expand their already existing ban on “assault weapons”, but they also limited magazine capacity to seven rounds, because, you know, criminals will definitely only carry seven rounds now.
In response, Abbot used campaign money to buy ads on websites of news organizations in New York City and Albany with messages like “WANTED: Law abiding New York gun owners seeking lower taxes and greater opportunities.”

Personally, I think this is a wonderful idea, so to the good people of New York: vote with your feet, move to Texas, and bring your guns with you.
We should go further and require any immigrants from New York to have at least two guns (and be a legal possessor of them). That will pretty much insure that we get the right kind of people moving down here. We don’t want any blue-state liberals coming here and bringing their nonsense with them. See New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Colorado for what happens when you allow that.
