Whether you’re staying in, taking the kids of to trick-or-treat or doing something else, it’s always good to be a little extra vigilant on Halloween. The crazies and the wackos of the world seem to have claimed Halloween as a common time for their debauchery, and there’s no sense in making their job any easier.
If you have kids, keep an eye on them. Make sure the outside of your house is well lit, particularly if you live in an urban or suburban environment. Leave the lights on all night, even after the trick-or-treaters have stopped coming. Do common sense things like lock your doors. If you see zombies, don’t go Walking Dead on them, it’s just kids.
Have fun, and don’t eat too much candy!

I found out the hard way. I’m still not sure if it was a vampire or just a goth kid. Either way, the stake through the heart worked. 😉
