The gun control bills just keep coming.
Another Democrat introduced bill, this time in the House of Representatives, by Diana DeGette from Colorado. The “Large Capacity Ammunition Feeding Device Act”, as the name suggests, will ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.

I can understand the mothers and fathers of this country wanting to do something, but this just isn’t it. Violent crime has decreased every year since the 1980’s according to FBI statistics. That said, in 2011 there were 1,134,527 violent crimes in the United States. Only 147,510 of those crimes involved a firearm. Only 8,583 of those were homicides. And in only 323 of these murders was a rifle used.
Maybe I shouldn’t use the term ONLY, as these numbers should not be considered insignificant. But it is quite obvious we seem to be focused on the wrong issue here. If we are expending considerable time and money on passing legislation to deal with less than 0.02847 percent of all violent crime in this country, then we have lost our way…

Illinois just introduced their own “assault weapons” ban in the state house….been crazy busy trying to drum up support AGAINST IT.

The bill info in the link on youtube is to a bill from January of 2011. Do you have a correct link for this bill. I searched the Library of Congress and could not find a bill like this by Diana DeGette.
