New York Senate Passes Cuomo Gun Law

If you live in New York and haven’t seen this yet, you need to ASAP. Last night the New York State Senate passed Cuomo’s bill in a 43-18 vote around 11 p.m.. The Assembly is set to take up the legislation when it returns to session at 10 a.m. today.

This is from USA today, emphasis added:

Cuomo’s bill — named the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act, or NY SAFE — would enact a number of new measures, including a ban of all magazines that hold more than seven rounds and universal background checks for all gun sales, regardless if they are private, person-to-person sales.

    Only hope is that the lawsuits that are sure to be filed immediately after this goes into law are successful.

      It should be the other way around, they should automatically be guarded from open-records requests, but if they want to, they can request their information to be public.
