The Problem Is Not Gun Laws

Parents of the children murdered in the Sandy Hook shooting appeared before a gun violence task force in the Connecticut Legislature on Monday to speak about gun control. One of those parents was Mark Mattioli, who lost his six-year-old son James in the tragedy.

Mr. Mattioli, who was understandably emotional speaking about the loss of his son, nevertheless gave a very thoughtful speech. He said that new gun laws are not the answer to the problem, but that we should instead look for personal responsibility, accountability and civility.

Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country…and I don’t think the gun laws are protecting the people, let alone the 500 who perished there in that city…

The next time a gun grabber tries to use a “save the children” argument for more gun control, you might consider sharing this video with them.
