Armordillo Concealment OWB X-Fer

Remember the X-Fer by Armordillo Concealment? Ever since Booth from Armordillo Concealment first told me about the X-Fer, I’ve been asking him to make an outside the waistband (OWB) version. Well today I got to take a look at the prototype of exactly that.

The photos above are a prototype version only, the production version will have slightly different aesthetics and a different mounting system (shown with a Blade-Tech Tek-Lok). Here’s a short description of the X-Fer from Armordillo Concealment.

Nearly 3 years ago I was asked to make a radically smaller holster for a weapon mounted light. In October of 2012 the X-FER was released as the solution to these problems but it was only able to be used Inside the Waistband. This then prompted email after email asking for a version that could be mounted Outside the Waistband and would allow for a mounted suppressor. I am now proud to announce the OWB/Molle X-FER.

This new X-FER will allow you to securely mount your firearm OWB or MOLLE via the weapon mounted light and also allow for you to holster your firearm with most mounted suppressors. We focused on allowing this holster to mount to as many different mounting systems currently on the market. We chose to use Andrew Bawidamann’s Molle Pup System. This allows for a close fit of the X-FER to the body, strength, stability and multiple options to cant the OWB/Molle X-FER. We will be releasing different models throughout the year but the first to be released is for the SureFire X300 Ultra and SureFire X300.

The OWB X-Fer will be available in a month or two, and you can expect to see a full review here.

Looks pretty sweet, would love this for irrigating at night. The Molle Pup System is also able to have an RTI hanger mounted on it, if I read the instagram post correctly, so that would be pretty convenient. Also, not sure if its just because its a prototype, but it looks injection molded to me? Doesn’t look like kydex in the pictures.
