If you live in New York and haven’t seen this yet, you need to ASAP. Last night the New York State Senate passed Cuomo’s bill in a 43-18 vote around 11 p.m.. The Assembly is set to take up the legislation when it returns to session at 10 a.m. today.
This is from USA today, emphasis added:
Cuomo’s bill — named the Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act, or NY SAFE — would enact a number of new measures, including a ban of all magazines that hold more than seven rounds and universal background checks for all gun sales, regardless if they are private, person-to-person sales.
Only hope is that the lawsuits that are sure to be filed immediately after this goes into law are successful.
“as well as provisions allowing pistol-permit holders to request that their personal information be guarded from open-records requests”
It should be the other way around, they should automatically be guarded from open-records requests, but if they want to, they can request their information to be public.
Challenging California for most F—– up state !
I’m leaving NY. I no longer feel safe, or free.
Makes me sick!
