New York and Seven Rounds

Yesterday, the New York Post released a surveillance video that shows four teens jump and severely beat a 52-year-old man, all to steal his cell phone. If this doesn’t perfectly illustrate the need for more than seven rounds for self-defense, I don’t know what does.

As many of you well know, New York recently passed legislation that, among other things, limits magazine capacity at seven rounds. And let’s not forget that New York is a “may issue” state for concealed carry, which means it is very difficult to even get a concealed carry permit. All under the guise of making you “more safe”.

So in review, it’s difficult to legally carry a gun for self-defense, and even when you do, legally it can’t hold more than 7 rounds of thug repellent. The result? Well that would be the video below.

Or the people walking by who do nothing. Fantastic.

Wait! Are you saying he should have killed those children over a phone?!? Just kidding. Only a complete idiot would think that is a valid point of discussion. No, the fact that those four predators could very well have killed him (intention makes no difference) is why he should have been able to use a gun to defend himself. Those that wrote and voted for those laws should be charged as accessories or held as negligent for not providing the security they’ve stripped from their citizens.

Every one of the POC that voted for the law should be tried for treason.

this illustrates one of my biggest complaints with all of this talk about reducing violence. if they catch these fine young men, they likely won’t spend much time at all in jail. they’ll be back on the streets in no time so they can progress to actually killing people, but of course that will be the gun’s fault. Put these folks in jail until they’re too old and crippled to ever do something like that again and the murder rate drops in a big big hurry….. We’ve got lots of unemployed former military, I’d happily pay more taxes to turn them into prison guards.

Well, at least with Obamacare he won’t have to pay his hospital bills. This world is becoming more violent and it isn’t about guns, it is about complacency and morals. We can’t even teach our children about moral issues!

Who do you think is paying for Obamacare?

Does anyone know if there are any lawsuits filed against the state of new york of these ridiculous laws that were pushed through at the 11th hour?

Last I heard, the NRA was already on it.

I still can’t understand how over night a person can be breaking the law. Whether or not this law is completely bogus but how can it be put into place over night with no grace period is beyond me! My brother shipped a handgun to his ffl and within that time the gun became illegal!
